Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. According to the announcement made, both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will us an Infinity Display and the preorders will begin from March 30 with exclusive offers – more on this will be revealed in the future – whereas the phones will start shipping and selling through stores from April 21.

Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Features & Specs
From, what we’ve seen from the early announcements and leaks, the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be the first Bezel-Light smartphone from Samsung. Rather than making a bigger phone, they’ve managed to trim the bezels from all side to integrate a much larger display into a much smaller body. The Infinity Display along with the new near bezel-less design makes Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ free from any rough edges giving you a clear, continuous and smooth screen without having to make the phone bigger. Both displays are also SuperAMOLED, have QuadHD panels at 2960×1440 as well as making full use of Samsung’s always-on display feature. Additionally, both new smartphones are covered with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 on the back and front.
Running these visually appealing smartphone is a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor which is using an octacore chip (with four cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and four at 1.7 GHz) along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as well as support MicroSD cards for extra storage. Both of these have fast charging features and are powered by a 3,000 mAh battery for the Samsung S8 and a 3,500 mAh battery for Samsung S8+.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ both sport an 8MP F1.7 Smart autofocus front camera and 12MP F1.7 Dual Pixel rear camera along with a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device, right next to the camera, and a face unlock feature. Luckily, the 3.5mm headphone jack has survived even after the phone being so packed with features!
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ both support fast and wireless charging as well as being IP68 water and dust resistant. Both the smartphone will be running the new Android 7 OS Nougat right out of the box with Samsung’s unique touches. Another new feature that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will have is the new virtual assistant Bixby which is Samsung’s attempt to compete with Google’s Assistant and Apple’s Siri while providing users the option to choose Google’s Assistant as their preferred virtual assistant.
